This free spirited Trinity Buoy Wharf Wedding was preceded with a heartfelt ceremony at Asylum Chapel.
When Francesca and Sam contacted me and told me that the theme (if there was one), to their wedding, was MUSIC I just knew we were going to be a good match. They used their favourite music to create a soundtrack to their wedding day. It was my kind of music; everything from The Beatles to House music. Needless to say the party at Trinity Buoy Wharf, in London, was going to be a good one!
The day started at bridal prep with the girls and I joined them as they were adding the final touches to their hair and makeup. Francesca looked amazing in her Hermione De Paula dress, which she had had embroidered. On one sleeve was the date of the wedding and hers and Sam’s initials on the other. I’d been made aware of Francesca’s special relationship with her grandfather and brother and so knew it was important to capture the love and special bond between these three. It was easy – I could see as soon as they turned up how close they were.
At The Asylum, Bloom East had been and dressed the room with some sensational wedding flowers. Sam was busy meeting and greeting, while his guests were clearly taken aback with the beauty of The Asylum’s interior. There were some sadly missed guests at the wedding, however they were remembered dearly and symbolically with the lighting of a candle. This was a beautiful touch to the proceedings.
If the ceremony was very touching and emotional the reception at Trinity Buoy Wharf was WILD! In a good way. Everyone was having fun, the food was excellent and people enjoyed playing chef. The free bar definitely helped, as did the 30L of ‘Disco Punch’.
Further more, if you have a Trinity Buoy Wharf wedding, you will be treated to an amazing view at dusk, with the O2 and The City lights in view across The River Thames: It’s THE perfect London wedding. Somebody take me back there! It also has THE. BIGGEST. DISCO. BALL. EVER.
FACT!
Which made the first dance not only super romantic and pretty, but there’s no mistaking that you are at Trinity Buoy Wharf!
I’d always wanted to shoot a wedding at Trinity Buoy Wharf so this was a dream day for me (as you may already know I have a penchant for The Asylum too!). The surrounding area is super cool and really attracts an alternative, creative cliental.
To sum it up, I could live this wedding over and over and never get bored. Therefore, if you’re having your wedding at Trinity Buoy wharf call me instantly and tell me about your plans because I’d certainly love to hear all about them!
