I’m Michelle. I live in Bedford and I’m obsessed with making interesting pictures with a camera.
My journey into wedding photography started back in 2013 when I shot my first full wedding for a friend. By the end of the night, I knew I was switching careers. Since then I haven’t looked back.
Before all of this, I studied Fine Art at university in the late 90s, and you can definitely see those influences in my work. Think: the dramatic lighting of the old masters, Kate Moss fashion spreads in the 90s, and the timeless vibe of black & white film stills. It all comes together in my style, and I love how it helps me capture the real moments in ways that feel fresh, intimate, and artful.
When I’m not photographing weddings, you’ll find me at home with my family living life in Bedford, just a stone’s throw from the river. We’ve been in our Edwardian townhouse for years now, and I always have an interiors project on the go. I love shopping for antique additions to the house or creating a new scheme for an empty corner.
Living a healthy lifestyle is important to me; I train at the gym and play tennis. We take active holidays as a family, surfing in Polzeath or hiking in the alps. I have been known to skip the sea on a cold day though, to read my book and sketch.
My next meal is always on my mind. Ha! I just love great food. Hit me up with your best foodie recommendations. I’m hungry for them.
