I could be a Stratton Court Barn wedding photographer full stop – What a venue!
Take me there every week. It’s the perfect size for a decent amount of people, but small enough so that the party really feels like a party in the evening. It’s set in the beautiful Bicester countryside, the bridal prep area is gorgeous and it’s one of those wedding barns that actually has light. And the staff are excellent. Enough said. I can’t thank the team there enough for making my day such a pleasurable one.
The Harveys, or Ashleigh and Adam as I first knew them, entered my life with a bang, And I sure do hope they’ll stay there! What amazing, beautiful (inside and out), creative and fun people. When they came for an engagement shoot with their Sausage pup Denzel, I just knew we were going to get on. Then I checked out Ashleigh’s threads and I was all “Whoa – she’s cool!”. And then Adam made me laugh all morning long and I was hooked! Totally invested in their day.
I knew Ashleigh was going to look amazing on her wedding day but when I saw the Sassi Holford slip of a wedding dress in pure silk I was in love. She went classic with white flowers and foliage in her bouquet and slipped a pair of Manolo Blahnik’s on under the dress. Adam had chosen a tweed three piece from The Vintage Suit Hire and looked THE PART too. In the evening a cute Tilly Thomas Lux hair clip made it’s way into Ashleigh’s locks, which jazzed her up enough to get her on the decks!!!
With such a creative couple I knew the wedding was going to be aesthetically beautiful – making my life as wedding photographer that bit easier. Adam is a graphic designer and did all the stationary and table plan, whilst Ashleigh has impeccable taste, choosing only THE BEST of the best. My fave piece was the Neon Poodle neon wedding sign but I did also love the gold cutlery and the flower wall installation.
All this said – what do I love most about this Stratton Court Barn wedding? All the love, laughter and tears! Just take a look – it’s full of them! That’s what you get when you’ve got great friends and family like these two!!
Her’s a little more than 100 images (i just couldn’t cut it back any further) – so keep in there…. it’s worth it!
If you’re having a Stratton Court Barn wedding, or indeed a wedding anywhere (you might be getting married in a woodland – fingers crossed – or a castle, or in Ibiza [yes please]) and love the look of my work, then please don get in touch via my contact page. xoxo Michelle
