This Editorial Wedding will blow your mind!
Jen and Si were like agents of cool in their winter wedding at Stone Barn. With their free spirited, editorial wedding style they showed the Cotswolds countryside how things are done.
They got ready in the same building (The delectable Cat’s Abbey). Si in the barn with the boys, and Jen with the girls in the annex (a kind of glass art gallery). I spent time with the boys first – made sense as they needed to get to the venue first. Si looked extremely dapper in his Bespoke by Mark Powell suit and Kurt Geiger shoes.
Jen and the girls got ready just around the corner. I loved Jen’s laid back style – she opted for a very natural makeup and hair, which matched her wild flower bouquet. The dress: French by Wendy Makin was elegant but also very editorial. She made it her own by adding copper accessories and dark green and copper shoes. The bridesmaids had all chosen their own forest green jumpsuits.
Over at Stone Barn, the boys had arrived and directed the guests indoors. Stone Barn light their HUGE fireplace in winter so the ceremony room is toasty. The couples usually opt to get married in front of it.
We talked in advance about Si and Jen’s wedding style. It was very free spirited. The flowers by Go Wild Flowers matched this vibe beautifully.
We opted to shoot some of the group shots more traditionally and some in a more editorial style. The boys’ shot behind the barn, by the log pile is one of my faves.
When it came to the couple portraits we when full steam ahead with the romantic // edgy vibe.
The moody weather helped us get some moody, editorial style wedding portraits too.
