Hi I’m Michelle, I’m a creative wedding photographer and after 10 years of shooting and literally hundreds of weddings, I’m still obsessed with your day. I want to know EVERYTHING! By the end of this process we will be like old friends and we will hug before we say goodbye.

How I work:

On your wedding day my vibe is smiley and approachable,  super organised and focussed. As a creative wedding photographer I am always looking for my next frame and I’ll be armed with two cameras & multiple lenses to catch it. I’ll already have all the info I need to get on with shooting your day as it rolls because we’ll have gone through things in depth before the day.

What I do:

Of course I’ll nail the ceremony, your portraits, the details and the group shots. I’ll be poised and ready for all of your big moments: I mean we want that confetti shot to be epic, right? But sometimes it’s the smaller nuances that really help to give that feeling to your wedding gallery. The hand that touched you. A head flung back in laughter. A single tear rolling down a cheek. And so it’s the people at your wedding and the connections between them, that I love to shoot.

What I Like:

I have a particular penchant for alternative weddings. Weddings that aren’t the same as everyone else’s. Weddings that almost scream the personality of the two people getting wed. You don’t necessarily have to have an alternative look to fit this concept; it’s more about attitude. It is about creativity, personality and not being tied into anything just because someone says you should be. I like to call it free-spirited. And it’s a vibe that really suits my creative wedding photography style. I also like a banging dance floor.

The Edit:

When it comes to editing I like striking images. Grainy black and whites. Warm, contrasty colour edits. My inspiration comes from beautifully shot films, the old Dutch Masters’ paintings and art and documentary photographers.
