An elegant wedding on Brighton Bandstand
Emma and Max’s wedding was one of my favourite types of wedding – they kept it nice and simple, fuss free and full of love and lots of class.
The ceremony, on Brighton Bandstand, was just down the road from where the girls got ready at The Grand Hotel. The moody grey skies were a perfect backdrop for the colourful umbrellas that Emma had hired in case of rain (which of course it did) – but somehow that made the day even more special.
St Ann’s Wells Gardens was a great venue for the reception – as Max is a musician it was important to them that they could play loud music, so right in the middle of a park was perfect. They got there in a 1930’s Citroen Traction Avant Car – the kind you see in French gangster movies – and I had the pleasure of taking the front seat.
They ate burgers and drank champagne, which pretty much sums it up for me.
Big up to Pat – the best man – who recommended me after I had photographed another wedding where he was an usher. Always good to see a few friendly faces!
