Katie and Tom’s wedding at Aswarby Rectory was always going to be a stylish bash: that much I was certain of. However as soon as I saw Katie’s silk slip of a wedding dress and the sophisticated stationary designed by the groom, I knew I was in for an aesthetic treat.
Next I was welcomed into bridal prep with huge smiles and the sound of laughter and shortly after I was greeted on the stairs by the guys. They were all chilled and just heading to the garden for a coffee. It was clear that the vibe was spot on too!
Days like these are what I live for.
So what are we looking at for inspo here? The bridesmaids were dressed in long black dresses and the groom and his men were in black tie. The bride wore a white silk halterneck Grace Loves Lace dress with the deepest back and a long flowing veil. The flowers were all white with foliage. It was a simple and elegant scheme that just works and doesn’t date.
Wedding Top Tip:
One of the highlights of this Aswarby Rectory wedding has to be the acoustic music, which was playing all day long thanks to Alex Johnson. It really added to the feeling of occasion by having live music all day. He started for the aisle walk at the ceremony and played at the drinks reception. Most importantly though, he played after the wedding breakfast. This perfectly bridged the gap between food and first dance and he even got everyone singing along and dancing in the gardens.
