A fun filled wedding at Chelsea Town Hall
A few weeks back Sophie and Will had their legal wedding ceremony at Chelsea Town Hall. They surprised their guests by wearing beautifully embroidered, red Chinese wedding outfits. However, what was most becoming was the smiles that they wore on their faces the whole time I spent with them.
They arrived on The King’s Rd in a Rolls Royce at 9:30am and had their ceremony at 10am. It was a simple affair with two readings and a ring exchange as they will have their big celebration abroad later this year. There was no doubting the love and joy in the room as people shed a tear and the first kiss was on repeat.
Sophie’s beaming face as they exited onto the steps of Chelsea Town Hall for the confetti, was glowing. And confetti they threw. So much confetti! It was the perfect exit.
After that we took a little meander through the streets of Chelsea, down to the riverside for a few photos. Before we knew it, we had done the loop and the Rolls came to pick us up to take us to Knightsbridge. This was where the Chinese tea ceremony was taking place – a beautiful tradition where the bride and groom offer tea to their parents to show respect and gratitude and the couple receive a blessing for their future.
