Emily and Josh are a stylish couple so I knew this was going to be a feast for the eyes. I’d met them at other weddings of friends and then for their engagement shoot with their adorable British Bulldog so it felt like shooting the wedding of a friend. A wedding dress with pockets is literally my perfect idea of a wedding dress, and Emily looked amazing in hers! Add to that pale grey bridesmaids dresses and giant round white balloons and I’m literally swooning. Out in the rolling Cotswold countryside, it didn’t take too much persuasion to get Emily and the girls into a field in front of The Stone Barn, which is part of the Cripps Barn group, despite the wintery day.
I have to say I eat at a lot of wedding venues and the food here was exceptional – so if you’re a foodie looking for a venue I’d definitely recommend this venue as a possibility. They served roasted pork with roasted sweet potatoes and an Asian inspired salad for the sit down meal , and wood fired pizzas in the evening. YUMM!!!
Emily and Josh know how to put on a party and surprised their guests with a karaoke band. Yes – they got to sing karaoke with a live band creating a room full of instant rockstars! The atmosphere was electric in side, but pop outside and you could warm up next to one of the well stocked fire pits.
Congratulations guys, and well done to Jackson who was a very good boy. More dogs at wedding please!
Oh – and Emily – we’re all swooning after your dress, but please tell us where you got your fried egg PJs from… They’re ace.
